Project Overview

The Oasis Boutique Hotel in Dubai aimed to redefine luxury hospitality. They partnered with Synchronos Solutions to implement an intelligent room automation system that would wow guests from the moment they stepped through the door while optimizing the hotel's energy expenditure.

The Challenge

Balancing extreme luxury with energy efficiency is difficult in the hospitality sector. Guests expect perfect comfort, but leaving HVAC systems and lighting running in empty rooms represents massive energy waste. The system also needed to integrate flawlessly with the hotel's existing property management software (PMS).

Our Solution

We crafted a guest-centric automation experience:

• Welcome Scenes: Upon check-in via the PMS, the room prepares itself—opening motorized drapes, setting the thermostat to a comfortable temperature, and playing ambient music.
• Occupancy Sensing: Unobtrusive sensors detect when the room is vacant, automatically switching the HVAC to eco-mode and turning off non-essential lighting without guest intervention.
• Bedside Tablets: Custom-branded tablets offering full environmental control, room service ordering, and concierge messaging directly from the bedside.

The Results

The implementation resulted in a remarkable 25% energy savings per room. Guest satisfaction scores soared due to the personalized, high-tech experience, and housekeeping operations were streamlined thanks to real-time 'Make Up Room' and 'Do Not Disturb' digital flagging.
