Every company has an origin story. Ours began with a simple but powerful conviction: that technology and beauty should never be at odds. In 2010, Mohammed Umair founded Synchronos Solutions in Jayanagar, Bangalore, with this philosophy as his compass. Fifteen years and 4,000+ projects later, it still is.
The Founding (2010): Why Jayanagar?
Jayanagar was not a coincidental choice. Situated in South Bangalore, it is one of the most vibrant, well-connected residential neighbourhoods in the city — home to an educated, aspirational community of professionals, architects, and families who value both aesthetics and quality. Mohammed Umair, with over 25 years of experience spanning electronics, banking, and entrepreneurship, saw that this community was underserved by the existing smart home market: dominated either at the high end by international firms with no local service capability, or at the low end by generic installers with limited technical depth.
Synchronos was founded to fill this gap — bringing world-class smart-living technology with the genuine personal service of a local, invested partner.
2010–2015: Building the Foundation
The early years were defined by deep technical investment. The team pursued certifications with leading automation brands — Legrand, Schneider Electric, KNX Association, Lutron — while simultaneously developing the interior design capability that would become a defining differentiator. This was unusual: most integrators were either technology companies or design companies, not genuinely both.
By focusing on both simultaneously, Synchronos developed what would become "The Synchronos Way" — a consultative methodology that begins with listening, progresses through design, and ends only when the client is fully satisfied with both the aesthetic and the technology.
2016–2020: Expansion Across South India
The 2016 3CT Award for Outstanding Contribution marked a recognition turning point. The subsequent years saw Synchronos expand beyond Bangalore into Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and internationally into the Gulf region. The 2018 Silicon India Top 10 Promising Home Automation Companies award and 2019 Smart Living Innovation Award at the India SmartTech Conference validated the company's growing reputation as not just a local integrator but an industry leader.
Partnerships deepened with global brands — Crestron, Control4, Bang & Olufsen, Bowers & Wilkins, HikVision, and dozens of others. Each partnership brought access to cutting-edge technology and training, further elevating the quality of synchronosliving.comstallations.
2020–2025: Technology Leadership
The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically accelerated smart home adoption in India. Synchronos entered 2020 with established systems and adapted quickly to contactless installation protocols, remote commissioning via video, and expanded remote monitoring capabilities for clients who valued home security more than ever.
The introduction of KNX RF wireless solutions opened retrofit opportunities in a market where most Bangalore apartments were not pre-wired for smart systems. AI-powered home security with HikVision AcuSense cameras, Dolby Atmos home theatres, and human-centric lighting systems became increasingly mainstream requests from discerning clients.
By 2025, Synchronos had delivered projects across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and internationally across the Gulf. The Panasonic Authorized Channel Partner for Advanced System Integration Solutions recognition in 2025 added another dimension to the growing partnership portfolio.
